Getting started
You'll need three things to use Picnic MCP:
- A Picnic account with at least one passkey set up. (Sign up at usepicnic.com (opens in a new tab).)
- An AI client that supports remote MCP servers — Claude Desktop, claude.ai, ChatGPT (via custom connectors), Cursor, or any other MCP-compatible client.
- The Picnic MCP server URL:
https://agents.usepicnic.com/mcpThat's the endpoint you'll point your AI client at.
What happens when you connect
The first time your AI client tries to use Picnic MCP, you'll be redirected to a Picnic consent page in your browser:
- Sign in with your passkey — same one you use in the Picnic app.
- Pick which scopes to grant. Each scope is one capability (e.g. read your balances, read your transactions).
- Approve. Your AI client receives a token and is connected.
Tokens are bound to that specific passkey. If you want to disconnect, revoke access from the Picnic app.
